Patient Engagement: Manage Your Healthcare Online 

Are you currently a BJC/WashU patient? Or, do you have a family member that you take care of that is a patient? Then, you should have a MyChart account. Read on to learn how to sign up and become part of the more than a million customers we support through MyChart. 

How do I sign up?

What is MyChart? 

MyChart is a convenient, secure way to manage your health information online and your care 24/7. Wherever you are, whenever you want, you can take comfort knowing that you have access to your records, appointments and more. 

What features are available through MyChart? 

Schedule and Manage Appointments and Pre-visit Information 

  • Instantly book and appointment for primary and specialty care 
  • Need to cancel or reschedule?  View your upcoming appointments and make any changes you need 
  • Don’t wait to fill out papers at the doctor’s office, complete important pre-visit tasks ahead of time 
  • Need information from a past appointment?   Access all of your previous visit summaries and providers notes 
  • Want to make a payment online? Pay your copay or bill in MyChart 

Manage Your Health – and Your Family’s 

  • Have a question about your or your family member’s health? Send a secure message to your healthcare provider 
  • Looking for your lab or test results? Get notified as soon as they’re available 
  • Need to see the full list of medications you’re on or is it time for a refill or renewal?  It’s easier than ever to manage your prescriptions 
  • Getting ready for back to school for your children?  Review their immunizations records online 
  • View medical records, preventative care reminders and make updates to your information 

Conduct a Virtual Visit With Your Doctor 

  • Talk to your doctor face-to-face with a scheduled video visit 
  • Your virtual visit is hosted via a HIPAA compliant video platform to ensure the information remains secure 
  • You also can schedule a virtual visit for your child as there are both pediatric specialists and primary care experts available 
  • You can even have family members or loved ones join you in the call provided they are with you physically 

Access Your Medical Records While Hospitalized using MyChart Bedside 

  • View your chart and see much of the same information your doctors and nurses see, such as lab results and medications 
  • Plan your day and track your upcoming appointments 
  • Access your personalized education throughout your hospital stay and after discharge though the MyChart mobile app 
  • Take care of your loved ones, as a patient proxy, you can help your children and other family members during their hospital stay with access to their appointments, care team, health information, and more whether you’re physically in the hospital or on the go
