WashU IT Hub – Changes coming to 4480 Clayton

Some changes are coming to our 4480 Clayton office space
that will impact the layout and location of WashU IT departments.

In alignment with our IT Operating Model and due to the current space being underutilized, the decision has been made to consolidate WashU IT’s office space at 4480 Clayton. A research trial for the Mallinckrodt Institute for Radiology (MIR) will also be moving into the 1st-floor space. A special thanks to the IT Workforce Operations Committee for supporting and representing all areas of WashU IT in this effort.

Here are some key points to be aware of:

  • The MIR Research project will require construction on the first floor of the second building, scheduled for February through November 2024.  While we will strive to minimize disruptions, there will be temporary changes to workstations during the transition period. We appreciate your understanding and patience during this time.

  • The Workspace project team convened with Facilities to examine the outlined floor plans for the 4480 Building and have subsequently asked for an evaluation regarding the expenses associated with rearranging cubicles and office areas across the 1st and 2nd floors. Facilities anticipates providing the cost breakdown for the proposed reconfiguration within 2-3 weeks. With this change, please be assured that all on-site staff will continue to have a dedicated space and we will continue to have ample shared space available for hybrid and remote employees to use when they are on-site.
  • We are diligently progressing towards finalizing the reconfiguration plans and will promptly inform you of any advancements or determinations. We encourage you to regularly check the specified location for the most recent updates concerning the 4480 Building.

As a reminder, you can find a great deal of information on the WashU IT Operating Model webpage including:
