An Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Digital Health Summit held at Washington University earlier this month brought a mix of people to campus to learn about ethical, legal, and regulatory aspects. AI’s impact on patient care and the quality of health care was an important topic covered, with presentations by subject matter experts and featured keynote speakers. One speaker included WashU Chief Technology Officer Greg Hart.
The two-day event was presented by the WashU Digital Intelligence and Innovation Accelerator, in alignment with WashU’s Here & Next strategic plan for Digital Transformation. Four key themes were examined during the event:
- AI in medicine
- Generative AI
- The intersection of AI human-computer interaction, and data visualization
- AI and the law, policy dimension
