Recently, WashU leadership approved a full transition to Workday Learning, leveraging existing technology that can assign, access and track training, by June 2026. Currently, WashU uses Learn@Work as the primary learning management system. Over the next 2 years, content will be transferred in phases to Workday Learning. This new LMS will improve the employee experience for required compliance trainings and professional development opportunities as noted below.
- Workday Learning functionality will help set WashU on the path to prioritizing a culture of professional growth among
stour people, part of WashU’s strategic plan, Here and Next . - With this transition, we intend to improve the user experience and maximize
onour current investments. This includes fiduciary responsibility to leverage existing technology. - Workday Learning offers structured support and flexibility to meet our employee’s needs in the way the current LMS cannot at this time.
- The functionality will also provide learning administrators a more streamlined and efficient approach to creating, reviewing and sharing content. It also creates one LMS system, and thus, consistency for our WashU community.
- The current governance model is outdated. Transitioning to Workday Learning will define ownership while also improving reporting analytics and metrics.
The Workday Learning functionality has been utilized during past pilots, such as annual harassment prevention training, with positive reviews from WashU employees.Learn more about this LMS transition online.
