Message from the CIO: Travel Season Safety Tips to Know

The holiday travel season is here, and I want to make sure you are aware of some resources that are available to keep WashU information, as well as your personal information, safe.

Traveling introduces security risks. Those risks can be mitigated through advanced planning and preparation. If you are traveling internationally, please visit the Trip Registration webpage and follow the required steps.

Also, through this site you can learn more about the WashU IT loaner laptop program that provides devices configured to access Office365, WUSTL Box, as well as remote access back to WashU resources.

The Office of Information Security offers guidance, including links to numerous resources to help travelers protect their data and important safety tips.

If you suspect youʼve been a victim of a cyber threat while traveling, you should immediately contact the Office of Information Security at infosec@wustl.edu or 314-747-2955.

Wishing you a safe and memorable holiday season.

Jessie
