ImpacT Spotlight: Welcome new WashU IT Accounting Assistant Brittany Boyd

Accounting Assistant Brittany Boyd said while she is learning a great deal, she feels “heavily supported for success” in her new role within WashU IT Finance and Business Operations. Boyd replaces Nikki Addison who was promoted to Financial Analyst I.

“I really like the group of people I’m working with,” she said. “I like to stay challenged and keep myself busy.

Boyd works closely with Carole Swindle on executing purchase orders, blanket orders, expense reports, internal customer billing, accounts receivable and accounts payable, personal computer refresh inventory, and other duties.

“I’m doing lots of learning right now,” Boyd said, noting she works primarily in student and contractor billing.

Boyd earned a bachelor’s in business management from the University of Missouri – St. Louis, and minors in accounting and criminal justice. She brings experience from the corporate world and an area law firm to her new role, which she started last month.

She and her 10-year-old daughter are fond of arts and crafts, including painting and designing. Boyd also enjoys spending time with family, cooking, reading, and walking outdoors.
