Does your department or group use written agreements that require ink-on-paper signatures with a printing, faxing, scanning, and emailing process? Washington University in Saint Louis uses DocuSign to automate and manage documents that require signatures. With DocuSign, faculty, staff, and students at WashU can easily collect eSignatures on documents sent to collaborators and colleagues on campus and around the world. Request DocuSign sender access through our WashU account and you’ll be able to use the service for free.
DocuSign saves an average of $36 per agreement. As a result of the streamlined workflows, people have more time to allocate to other tasks. DocuSign enables us to work towards the university’s goal of a more sustainable future by eliminating the large amount of energy used to produce the paper to print and recycle agreements.
DocuSign provides university users with a secure eSignature platform that supports the highest level of global security and is HIPPA compliant. WashU has integrated DocuSign with Outlook and Box. Adding the DocuSign app to your Outlook allows senders to request signatures on documents through the new mail/reply window. With the Box integration, you can easily execute agreements with DocuSign. All copies are automatically stored in Box.
Visit the WashU IT DocuSign page for more information, including requesting sender access, Powerforms, and security and best practices. For training, documentation, and support, visit the WashU IT DocuSign Resources & Support page.
Account users will be added to the “WU DocuSign User Group,” a space for users to ask other users questions and share information.
