WashU IT Research Infrastructure Services (RIS) has launched an enhanced customer onboarding process with significant updates to its website and documentation communication platforms. These platform enhancements provide a more intuitive and user-friendly interface for getting information and support.
These enhancements include:
- A new onboarding process allowing research facilitators to capture user requirements that will help guide customized training on utilizing RIS services for their research.
- A restructured website layout that offers a new navigation experience that is more seamless and straightforward.
- A revamped service portal offering onboarding and access to training and education for labs and departments. It simplifies modifying and activating new computing or storage services and adds a new application request for use within the Scientific Compute Platform.
- Moving documentation to Confluence for easier knowledge management and control over layout, design, and updates. This change improves integration with the RIS Service Desk, making it easier for facilitators and users to find relevant information.
- Transitioning away from the RIS HPC Newsletter and moving news updates to our website to keep researchers engaged and up to date on the latest news.
