Name: Carissa Braddy
Background: Carissa is newer to the Washington University community and started as an Operations Supervisor on the Service Desk in May of 2022. Prior to WashU, Carissa worked for the 22nd Judicial Courts of Missouri, Scottrade, Inc. (that was then bought out by TD Ameritrade), and Stifel Financial Corp. It was at Stifel where she started her leadership journey when she worked herself up from an IT Service Desk Analyst to Team Lead.
Carissa says, “I am most grateful for being a part of WUIT and the WashU community because I have an opportunity to deliver excellent customer service through representation of our technicians. I have a passion for creating a culture centered around care, training, and development. I pride myself on being a valued mentor by establishing trusted relationships that build the confidence to reach both their and our expectations. I want our technicians to wake up in the morning and feel glad that I am their supervisor who supports their goals personally and professionally.”
Carissa has a supportive partner that she has been with for 12 years and one daughter, age 11. In her spare time, she enjoys supporting local music and managing her fiancé’s band called “Tree One Four” that has played and opened shows at The Pageant with family friend/STL legend (Steve Ewing) and his local band The Urge.
Name: Nick Lowre
Background: Nick is lucky to have spent the entirety of his 12-year IT career in higher education. He has been with the WUIT Service Desk for the last 6 years, starting out as a technician and working his way up to his current Operations Supervisor role. Prior to WashU, Nick worked at a prominent business school in the greater Boston area. He is a Boston native, and no, he will not say that line about parking the car for you.
As a leader, Nick is looking to help grow the Service Desk as a whole, in addition to providing the opportunity for each and every Service Desk technician to realize their full potential. As such, he and his co-supervisor Carissa Braddy are looking forward to collaborating with you and your team to simplify and enhance the support experience for your product or service offering.
In his free time, Nick enjoys spending time with his dog, Hank and Cat, Jeffrey. He also enjoys playing board games with friends and is an avid collector of physical media, especially new Blu-ray releases of old B movies and television series box sets.
