Student Tech Services (STS): Meet The STS Techs

Major: Computer Science Major, Anthropology Minor

What made you want to join STS?

Transitioning to living and learning at a university is a daunting task for anyone. Technology can be one of the biggest stressors in this, as most students are learning to utilize new tech tools. Additionally, college is the first time that many students will be the only person responsible for their technology. I aim to provide fellow students with the resources and support to lessen the impact of this, helping them to maximize the power that technology provides. Since I’ve recently been in their same position, I hope to be an approachable source of support for new students.

What experience do you have with Tech?

I’ve been programming since 7th grade, and I’ve had even more experience developing my personal computer skills. I have certifications in using many important applications, including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and several Microsoft Office applications. I’ve taken tech classes since middle school, and I’ve been the go-to tech person for friends and teachers for years. Feel free to ask me about anything from cybersecurity to circuitry.

What are your hobbies outside of STS?

I play video games to relieve stress. I’ve been playing a lot of Fallout 76 lately, as well as the remastered StarCraft. Additionally, I’ve made it my goal to try as many local St. Louis restaurants as possible. My favorite so far is probably Medina Grill.

Favorite food on campus?

This is a hard decision—either DeliciOSO or Subway.
