On February 6, 2021, Qualtrics is deprecating support for Android versions less than 5.0 (also known as Lollipop, released November 2014). This change is necessary to ensure the best possible experience in terms of app security. Additionally, the WebView component of the app is now installed separately. If you have a newer device, it likely shipped with a recent version of that component, but you are encouraged to install or upgrade it if that is not the case.
What action do I need to take?
You can update the WebView component using the Google Play Store to download the newest version: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.webview.
You can check the version of Android your devices are running by finding the appropriate option in the Settings app. Detailed instructions are available from Google: https://support.google.com/android/answer/7680439.
Depending on your device, you may have the ability to upgrade to a more recent version of Android from the Settings app.
If you are unable to upgrade your devices, you will continue to be able to use the old version of the Offline Surveys app that is already installed, but you will lose the ability to receive updates or reinstall it. The upgraded version of the Offline Surveys app is scheduled to be deployed on February 6, 2021, which is also the cutoff date for installing a version of the app that will work on older devices.
