March 17, 2020 Update: To avoid further distraction while the university prepares on account of the coronavirus (COVID-19), we are postponing the launch of the new ServiceNow (WashU IT self-service portal) until further notice.
To help improve customer service, WashU IT is launching a new version of ServiceNow for IT support on March 30, 2020. This ServiceNow will be accessible across computers, tablets, and cell phones, allowing users to request IT services or items, search for IT solutions, and report IT issues.
New Web Address (URL)
Beginning March 30, go to wustl.service-now.com for:
- Requesting IT services or items
- Searching for IT solutions
- Reporting IT issues
The current ServiceNow Portal, wusm.service-now.com, will remain active for the following:
- WUSM Facilities requests
- Shared Business Services Hub requests
- HR Benefits for internal work management
- Brown School Service Center requests
- Brown School Facilities requests
On March 30, wustlhelp.wustl.edu and wusmhelp.wustl.edu will take you to the new ServiceNow (wustl.service-now.com).
IT support email addresses and phone numbers will not change. Anyone using Web Help Desk (WHD) will continue to use it as usual.
What should I do to prepare?
On March 30, update your browser bookmarks and department website links, including links to specific IT forms, such as Hardware Accessories, Onboarding Request, Report a Technology Issue, etc. If you need help finding these forms in the new ServiceNow Catalog, please contact the ServiceNow Project Team.
If you have been using wustlhelp.wustl.edu or wusmhelp.wustl.edu for actions and requests remaining in the current ServiceNow, on March 30, you will need to go to wusm.servicenow.com for those functions.
You may take a look at the new portal by watching our ServiceNow Portal Demo.
You are invited to attend a 45-minute Q&A virtual session through Microsoft Teams on March 16, from 1:30 – 2:15 p.m. Add to calendar
