IT in higher education doesn’t need to be complicated. The End User Experience (EUX) team helps cut through complexity, reduce friction, and deliver smarter, more user-focused services across campus. Whether launching a project, troubleshooting a process, or navigating change—EUX is the trusted guide for customers and serves the rest of WashU IT through transparent, collaborative communication and insight.
One point of contact
The newly introduced Navigator program provides designated advocates to customers. The advocates build personal connections and gather important insights into customer and stakeholder needs. This information is communicated back to relevant IT team members, eliminating the need to chase down answers and providing efficient communication that gives back time to complete tasks.
Tech that works
Through focus groups and feedback loops, EUX Navigators are finding smarter solutions, designed with users in mind, that shape decisions regarding tools and services to best fit the needs of the WashU community.
Smooth upgrades
From Windows 11 to software retirements, Navigators help coordinate rollouts with minimal disruption, enabling the rest of WashU IT to remain productive, even during major changes.
Faster onboarding
A New Hire IT Package will be available in the near future. This package will bundle everything into a single, trackable request giving quick and easy onboarding information with no guesswork.
VIP support
Executives get fast, informed help for critical tech issues, setting the bar for service excellence. This is another way WashU IT provides reliable support when visibility and timing matter most.
Smarter software spend
With clearer roles in governance and operations, EUX is helping optimize licensing and usage to lower costs, reduce waste, and achieve better compliance.
Clear communication
EUX standardizes documentation, escalation, and knowledge-sharing so individual IT teams are never left in the dark. The goal is to reduce “fire drills,” while instilling more user confidence with every change.
The bottom line
EUX makes IT easier for IT members to focus on what they do best. For more information, contact the IT Navigators at ITNavigators@wustl.edu.
