WashU IT has enhanced Microsoft M365 Defender email security by incorporating Abnormal, an email security platform that detects and prevents advanced email attacks.
Since the July 3 go-live, the new tool has already prevented the delivery of numerous malicious emails that were very sophisticated in nature to WashU mailboxes, thereby limiting the risk of a cyber-incident.
Abnormal uses AI to defend and block phishing attacks in a much more targeted and effective way than has been possible in the past.
