The next 2-day ITIL V4 Foundation class offered by our training provider, Stormwind Studios, is on May 17, 2021, 9:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. – May 18, 2021, 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. We have 20 spots available for the remote-learning webinar. Additional classes may be offered this year.
WashU IT employees are required to complete this training. Contractors and student workers are not eligible for this training. They should watch the 40-minute LinkedIn Learning ITIL Foundation 4 First Look (video).
After you complete the training, you may take the WashU IT-funded certification exam (optionally or if required by your resource manager). StormWind Studios provides resources for you to prepare for the exam. Our exam vouchers expire on August 24, 2021.
Please work with your resource manager to avoid staffing deficiencies.
Registering for the Training
- Go to the WUIT – ITIL v4 Foundation course in Learn@Work.
- In Learn@Work, select the Enroll button to register for the May class.
- You will receive an email from learnatwork@wustl.edu with a calendar invite.
- You will also receive an email from washu_it-training@email.wustl.edu for a Microsoft Teams Meeting on May 17, at 9:30 a.m., to hear an introduction to the training.
Interested in Taking the Exam?
If you would like to request a voucher to take the exam, please review the StormWind resources, and once you are prepared to take the exam, email us to request your voucher.
Please note, you are supposed to have access to your StormWind account for one year from the date you were registered for the training. If you believe that you should still have access to your account and no longer do, please email us.
Additionally, you are welcome to review this ITIL v4 Foundation study guide created by an attendee of the training.
After you request an exam voucher, we will email you information to take into account before scheduling your exam. (If you plan to use a WashU IT-managed computer, you will have to schedule your exam Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 8 p.m., so a Service Desk technician can make a change to your computer and install the exam application, ExamShield.)
The Technology & Leadership Center will email you the voucher along with directions for registering and redeeming the voucher.
