Contractors/Student Workers
Contractors and student workers should watch the 40-minute LinkedIn Learning ITIL Foundation 4 First Look video.
Employees
Employees are required to complete a 2-day ITIL v4 Foundation course and then take the WashU IT-funded certification exam. (Contractors and student workers are not eligible for the WashU IT-funded exam.)
We have two remaining training courses. Although, we will schedule additional training after June, the training will be offered less frequently. We encourage you to sign-up for one of the June classes if you have not completed the training.
About the Training
The 2-day course consists of watching a vendor-provided webinar each day. Learners should join the webinar remotely.
Please work with your resource manager to avoid staffing deficiencies.
Registering for the Training

In Learn@Work, select the Enroll button to register for the 2-day course.
Day 1: 6/22, 9:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Day 2: 6/23, 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Day 1: 6/24, 9:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Day 2: 6/25, 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Please note the following:
- During the week of June 15 – 19, you will receive your registration and login information in an email from StormWind, the vendor hosting the webinar.
- The training sometimes goes past 3 p.m. each class day.
Taking the Exam
You will receive an email from WashU IT Training with the exam information after you complete the training. After you review the StormWind resources to prepare for the exam, email WashU IT Training to request a voucher to take the exam. It is recommended that you take the exam soon after completing the training.
The Technology & Leadership Center will email a voucher to you. Directions for registering and redeeming will be on the voucher. When you schedule your exam, you will see an option to purchase a re-sit (retake) of the exam. The cost to you is $67, and it is non-refundable through the vendor, even if you do not need to retake the exam.
Only one voucher will be provided per employee. Once you schedule your exam, the voucher is redeemed, so please be certain you are prepared for the exam.
