Capacity planning has been selected as a top priority for WashU IT in FY26. This vital process ensures that the right resources are available at the right times and enables teams to effectively support the organization’s evolving technology needs.
Planview, WashU IT’s capacity planning tool, allows teams to track and allocate resources efficiently and generate insightful reports that can aid in decision-making. However, the success of capacity planning heavily relies on everyone’s active participation and accurate data input.
To support team members in the capacity planning process, various training resources have been added, including some fun scenario videos. These videos demonstrate the available functionality and how it can be applied in common capacity planning scenarios. These resources can be accessed through Workday Learning, on the Planview/Capacity Planning webpage, and in the Confluence PM guide.
