February 23: ITIL V4 Foundation Training & Exam Update

We recently sent a survey to WashU IT employees who have not completed the ITIL v4 Foundation training to assist us with aligning our future training offerings with employees’ availability.

Once a schedule is determined, we will send an update to resource managers and email the employees who have not completed the training.

ITIL v4 Foundation Certification Exam

As a reminder, WashU IT employees who completed the 2-day or 3-day ITIL v4 Foundation training through StormWind are eligible to take the WashU IT-funded exam. You are not required to take the certification exam unless your resource manager requests that you do so.

Our unassigned and assigned exam vouchers have been extended to 8/24/21. This means if you have not requested an exam voucher, and you are interested in taking the exam, you have until 8/24/21 to do so. If you have an exam voucher, and have not scheduled your exam, you have until 8/24/21 to take the exam. (As indicated in the email on 1/21/21, if you plan to use a WashU IT-managed computer, exams must be scheduled Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 8 p.m., so a Service Desk technician can make a change to your computer and install the exam application, ExamShield.)

If you would like to take the exam, please review the StormWind resources, and once you are prepared to take the exam, email us to request your voucher.

Please note, you are supposed to have access to your StormWind account for one year from the date you were registered for the training. If you believe that you should still have access to your account and no longer do, please email us.

Additionally, you are welcome to review this ITIL v4 Foundation study guide created by an attendee of the training.

After you request an exam voucher, we will email you information to take into account before scheduling your exam. (If you plan to use a WashU IT-managed computer, you will have to schedule your exam Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 8 p.m., so a Service Desk technician can make a change to your computer and install the exam application, ExamShield.)

The Technology & Leadership Center will email you the voucher along with directions for registering and redeeming the voucher.
