Faculty
Annual Review
- To streamline the annual review process, the sections for uploading your CV, Executive Summary, optional supporting documents, and completing your self-evaluation are combined into one section with a single ‘Submit’ button.

Reviewer
Annual Review
- If a faculty member does not sign the ‘Annual Review Acknowledgment Form,’ contact the Case Manager to let them know.
- A ‘Notes and Follow-Up Items’ field has been added to the ‘Annual Evaluation Feedback Form.’ This field is optional for you to use.

All Processes – Update
- If a case is sent backwards to you so you can make corrections, document the changes you made when sending the case forward again.

Case Manager
Appointments, Promotions, Tenure, and Transfer of Tracks
- To assist HR, a ‘Date of Recommendation’ field has been added to the ‘Executive Faculty Recommendation Form.’

- To eliminate confusion, the ‘HR Ad-Hoc Committee Review’ step has been renamed to ‘HR Step to Review Your Ad-Hoc Selection (HR).’

- If a case is sent backwards to you so you can make corrections, document the changes you made when sending the case forward again.

- The ‘Ad-Hoc Promotions Committee Selection (Case Manager)’ step that was step 3 in the processes listed below has been removed. You will add the individuals selected for the Ad-Hoc Promotions Committee when you complete step 1.
- Appointment: Investigator Track with New Conferral of Tenure
- Promotion: Clinician Track – Associate Professor and Professor
- Promotion: Investigator Track with New Conferral of Tenure
- Promotion: Investigator Track without Tenure Decision
- Promotion: Research Track
- Note: If HR needs you to update the individuals selected for the Ad-Hoc Promotions Committee, they will send the case backwards to you unless there is a “Department Promotions Committee” step. In this case, HR will contact you outside of Interfolio. You will move the case backwards to Step 1, update the committee members listed on the “Cover Sheet,” and then send the case forward to HR.
- Go to the “Updating the Ad-Hoc Committee Members if HR Does Not Approve” section of the Full User Guide – Appointments, Promotions, Tenure, and Transfer of Tracks in Interfolio for Case Managers for further details.

Annual Review
- The sections for uploading the CV, Executive Summary, optional supporting documents, and completing the self-evaluation are now combined into one section with a single ‘Submit’ button.
- If you commonly upload the faculty member’s CV and supporting documentation, you won’t click ‘Submit.’ The faculty member will click ‘Submit’ once they’ve completed their self-evaluation. (See screenshot in the Faculty section above.)
- If a faculty member does not complete the ‘Annual Review Acknowledgment Form,’ first determine whether it was accidental or intentional.
- If the incompletion was accidental and the faculty member is still employed by WashU, you can share this video with the faculty member: Video 3: Downloading Your Annual Review Feedback and Completing Your Final Tasks (start at 1:32 minutes for steps to complete the form).
- If the incompletion was accidental and the faculty member is no longer employed by WashU, or if the incompletion was intentional, follow the steps below.
- Email the Division Chief or Department Head, and if the faculty member is still employed by WashU, include them as well.
- Request that the Division Chief or Chair write an explanatory note detailing the circumstances for why the case was not completed.
- Attach the chair’s letter to the ‘Optional Supporting Documentation’ section of the case.
