Name: Anees Patwa
Grade: Senior class 2021
Major: Computer Science and Economics, minor in Accounting
Hometown: Hamden, Connecticut
Position: Student Manager of DevSTAC

How long have you been with STS?
Around 2.5 years.

What does DevSTAC do?
We build technology solutions to help WashU clients solve their problems and develop new capabilities. We’ve worked on projects ranging from 360 photos of the trees on campusto a mobile app for educating mothers on breastfeeding.

How would you describe your team and the people you work with?
They’re some of the most hardworking and interesting people that I’ve met at WashU. What I love most about DevSTAC and its members is that they come from different backgrounds and different schools to work together to build technology solutions. Having people with different perspectives not only makes for a great project but allows me to learn more than I could have ever hoped for.

Can people apply to DevSTAC?
Yep! You can reach out to either me (aneespatwa@wustl.edu) or Tara (trenduchintala@wustl.edu) and fill out the application here! (https://wustl.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_ac1RLtrlAuctgO1)

What kind of people are you looking for at DevSTAC?
Anyone interested in making an impact through technology! Whether your expertise is technical, design-oriented, or management-oriented we welcome you with open arms. The four positions we hire are project manager, developer, designer, and media specialist!

What kind of hobbies do you have outside of DevSTAC?
I’ve recently been cooking a lot and I’m actually taking a science of food course this semester! I’m also a big FIFA player and used to play a lot with my brother on our Xbox 360.

What are you looking forward to after graduation?
I’m really excited to move to Chicago and start a new chapter of my life. Hopefully, if COVID-19 is better in the fall, I’ll get to do a lot of traveling through work!

NOTE: We would like to congratulate Anees on his post-graduation Business Analyst position at McKinsey & Company. He has been an incredible Student Manager for DevSTAC and we wish him the best of luck in his new endeavor.
