September 19, 2024 Update:
Effective immediately, faculty should not enter additional data into Interfolio’s CV Builder, aka Faculty Activity Reporting (FAR) module.
Faculty who have already entered their data into FAR can download their information into a Word or PDF document at any time.
Please refer to the Interfolio – Exporting Your CV Quick Guide for steps and screenshots.
Faculty should continue to use the Review, Promotion and Tenure (RPT) module for their annual reviews, appointments, promotions, tenure, and transfer of tracks.
Faculty will upload a PDF version of their CVs and other documents (e.g. Executive Summary, Clinician Track Impact Report) for annual reviews, consistent with the current process used for appointments, promotions, tenure, and transfer of tracks.
Monday, July 1st, 2024, marks the school-wide launch of Interfolio’s Review, Promotion & Tenure (RPT) module. Early adopter departments have been successfully using RPT since Spring 2024. RPT is Interfolio’s faculty-friendly, convenient, and secure online tool for academic evaluation.
What is RPT?
Interfolio’s Review, Promotion and Tenure (RPT) module is required to complete your annual review, promotion, tenure and track change processes. For promotion, tenure, and track changes, you may upload your external CV into RPT. A grace period of at least six months has been initiated during which you can upload your CV rather than entering all your data into FAR. Please note that this is for appointment, promotion, and tenure applications only.
Please refer to the Interfolio Quick Guide for more information prior to accessing the Interfolio RPT Module.
4 Things to Remember
1. The Faculty Activity Reporting (FAR) module is necessary for your Annual Reviews. All Washington University School of Medicine (WUSM) Faculty members will enter ONE year of activities into Interfolio’s FAR module for Annual Reviews.
2. For promotion, tenure, and track changes, you may upload your external CV into RPT. A grace period of at least six months has been initiated during which you can upload your CV rather than entering all your data into FAR. Please note that this is for appointment, promotion, tenure and track changes only.
3. The FAR and RPT live training schedule is accessible on the Interfolio Project Webpage. WashU IT is conducting live virtual trainings and office hours for RPT June – September 2024. Office hours and live virtual training sessions are also available for FAR July – September 2024. The training schedule can be accessed here.
4. User guides and recorded trainings are available on the Interfolio Project Webpage. Reviewing the training sessions and user guides will allow WUSM faculty and administrators to confidently utilize the FAR and RPT modules. Recorded Far and RPT trainings, and user guides are available for you to review at your convenience.
