As of January 30, 2026, the AI Literacy Program has been assigned to all WashU IT employees in Workday. The training can be accessed in Workday Learning and must be completed by February 27. Refer to the list of frequently asked questions below.
- Log in to Workday.
- Click the Learning Application in the Global Application Menu. If you don’t see the Learning Application in your Global Application Menu, refer to the Configure Global Navigation and Your Top Apps tutorial to add it.
- Assigned required learning will be displayed in the Required for You section on the page.
- Click the AI Literacy Program.
- Click the Start Program button.
- Click the Start Course button.
- Click the Launch Content button.
- Note: If you receive a “Pop-up Blocked” message, and you’re using a:
- Windows computer, click “Launch Content” again.
- Mac, enable pop-ups for your browser before clicking “Launch Content” again. Clicking “Launch Content” again may cause issues for Workday to mark the course as completed if pop-ups are disabled. Follow the steps in KB0200592 – How to configure your web browser to allow pop-up windows to enable pop-ups in your browser.
- Note: If you receive a “Pop-up Blocked” message, and you’re using a:
- The course will open in a new window.
- Once you complete the course, you will see a “Congratulations! You have completed the course” message. Click OK and close the window to return to Workday.
- In Workday, click the Go to Next Item button.
- Repeat steps 6-10 for the second and third courses, “Using AI Responsibly and Ethically” and “Harnessing AI.”
- Click the AI Literacy Program link in your email.
- Click the Start Program button.
- Click the Start Course button.
- Click the Launch Content button.
- Note: If you receive a “Pop-up Blocked” message, and you’re using a:
- Windows computer, click “Launch Content” again.

- Click the AI Literacy Program.
- Click the Resume Course button.
- Click the Launch Content button.
- Note: If you receive a “Pop-up Blocked” message, and you’re using a:
- Windows computer, click “Launch Content” again.
- Mac, enable pop-ups for your browser before clicking “Launch Content” again. Clicking “Launch Content” again may cause issues for Workday to mark the course as completed if pop-ups are disabled.
