September 19, 2024 Update:
Effective immediately, faculty should not enter additional data into Interfolio’s CV Builder, aka Faculty Activity Reporting (FAR) module.
Faculty who have already entered their data into FAR can download their information into a Word or PDF document at any time.

Faculty should continue to use the Review, Promotion and Tenure (RPT) module for their annual reviews, appointments, promotions, tenure, and transfer of tracks.
Faculty will upload a PDF version of their CVs and other documents (e.g. Executive Summary, Clinician Track Impact Report) for annual reviews, consistent with the current process used for appointments, promotions, tenure, and transfer of tracks.
We are happy to announce that process and technical improvements for Interfolio’s Review, Promotion & Tenure (RPT) module are available.
Upcoming Process Changes
These updates aim to improve the user experience and streamline the RPT process.
Executive Faculty Step
For Annual Review, Promotion, and Tenure cases, the case managers will now record the Executive Faculty decision. HR will contact the case manager with the decision. Next, the case manager will record the decision in the Recommendation Form, then send the case to the next person in line if it is a tenure case. If it is a non-tenure case, the case manager can close out the case.
Tenure Cases
Step 8 will change to be titled Tenure Review where HR (Shari, Chisty, Theresa) will upload the Chancellor Letter. They will then send it forward to the case manager to close out the case.
Dual Appointment Clarification
For dual appointments, the case managers will send the case to the second department head for review if the reviewer is in the School of Medicine and in Interfolio.
If the second department is at Danforth, the review will need to take place via paper process.
Cover Sheet
A cover sheet will be created as a form for each template where case managers can place pertinent case information: Appointment Effective Date, Secondary Appointment Information, and All Titles.
Ad-Hoc Approval Letter
There is no change to the Executive Faculty packet review process. Please continue to upload the materials to the Executive Faculty Box folder, including the Ad-Hoc Approval Letter. Interfolio can facilitate this process by creating a PDF of the necessary documents to be uploaded to Box.
Instructor Approval Form
The Appointment to Instructor template now includes an approval form within the template.
Upcoming Technical Changes to RPT
These updates aim to improve the user experience and streamline the RPT process.
Adding Division
The organizational structure will be modified to include the division level. This change will be made one department at a time. The Interfolio Project team will contact each department as they are impacted.
*This change will not impact DOM since DOM divisions are currently available in Interfolio.
Packet Order
For appointments and promotions, the packet order will be changed in each template to:
- CV
- Executive Summary
- CTIR/Key Publications
- Optional Supporting Documentation
- Cover Letter
- Nomination Letter
- External Evaluations
For promotions, tenure, and appointment cases, a PDF or Word version of the CV, CTIR, Executive Summary, and any other documentation can be uploaded directly to the RPT case.
Annual reviews will still pull the CV, which includes the Executive Summary, directly from FAR. The CTIR can be uploaded to the case in a PDF or Word doc.
