Local IT Joining WashU IT

WashU IT Sr. leadership will determine transitioning staff placement within the WashU IT organization when the unit migration is almost complete. WashU IT will work with migrating department leadership to determine an official transition date for your transition.

Sync Session

Post migration, you will meet with your former supervisor, new supervisor, and IT HR representative to discuss the transition to WashU IT. The discussion will include current and new day-to-day duties. You will be presented with a packet that will consist of:
  1. Engagement activities that will be scheduled to help you become familiar with our policies, facilities, and peers.
  2. Information about the timeline for your move to new work location
  3. FAQs
  4. Notification of Job Transfer letter. The letter will include information about:
      • Current job title, grade, salary, FLSA status, supervisor  
      • New:  job title, grade, salary, FLSA status, supervisor, work location assignment


It is our goal with this meeting to provide a transparent opportunity for you to ask questions, gain clarity, and raise concerns related to your transition.
