WashU IT has revamped its newsletter strategy, adjusting the cadence of publications. While this update was provided during recent IT All Hands meetings, we wanted to share it with you here as a reminder.
What has changed?
- The Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion newsletter, Variant, will no longer be published. Instead, EDI content is being thoughtfully integrated into all the newsletters published through the Office of the Chief Information Officer. This ensures that EDI remains a well-planned and strategic part of our communications efforts.
- The Research Infrastructure Services newsletter has been discontinued, with RIS content being integrated in WashU IT’s publications.
- A new newsletter cadence has been in place the beginning of this year for Tuesday Tech, which is distributed to WashU IT and its distributed IT partners, and Connected, which is sent to all WashU faculty and staff.
- Tuesday Tech is now published monthly instead of bi-weekly.
- Connected is now being published quarterly instead of bimonthly.
The publication dates for each newsletter are available on the WashU IT recurring communications calendar, which is available in the WashU IT Staff Space on it.wustl.edu under “WashU IT Strategy.”
Also, as a reminder, if you have content you would like included in an upcoming issue of one of our newsletters, we look forward to receiving it. Please adhere to the content submission process.
These newsletter updates will help us maintain clear, consistent messaging, while allowing us to leverage and manage our communication channels more effectively. Thank you for your support as we continue to enhance how we connect and engage with our internal team and external audiences.
