Peeti Sithiyopasakul is a WashU18 graduate and has been recently promoted to STS/Tech Den Operations Supervisor. He was first introduced to STS as a first-year student through STEER-IT, a tech-themed pre-orientation program organized by STS staff in August 2014. In his 4-year undergraduate tenure as an STS student employee, Peeti excelled and advanced through the ranks; he held almost every student position available, from Level I Tech, to Student Technology Coordinator (STC), Summer Tech, 3D Print Tech and Level II Tech. Peeti also worked as a Research Assistant for the Department of Microbiology and as an EMT, and volunteered as a Mentor and Logistics Co-Chair/founding member for the Washington University Chemistry Tournament.
At STS, Peeti helped establish 3D printing as a service in the summer of 2015 (see attached photo), has improved many operational processes, provided detailed technical documentation, and has is often mentioned as a mentor by STS student techs.
Fun Fact: Peeti has spent every one of his last 7 birthdays with the STS staff, as his August birthday falls during STS Tech Training. His favorite cake is Mixed Berries and Cream from Whole Foods.
