We’re celebrating the opening of the campus’s newly renovated and constructed IT building!
The WashU Community (students, faculty, staff)
Tuesday, October 2
1:30 – 3:00 p.m.
4480 Clayton Ave.
It’s been a long road but the renovation and construction of the new IT building is complete! We invite you to join us for an open house, Tuesday, October 2, 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. Tour our new building at 4480 Clayton Ave. (on the Medical Campus) and meet the people delivering your IT services. Refreshments will be served.
What began in 2014 as a vision to unify the delivery of common IT services across the university by implementing a shared IT service model led to the creation of the Washington University Information Technology organization. This organization—formed of the unification of the former Information Service and Technology (IS&T),Central Information Technology Services (CITS), and the Department of Medicine (DOM) IT team—up to now has been spread out in many locations across the Danforth and Medical Campuses. The completion of the new IT building at 4480 Clayton Ave. marks a rather significant milestone for IT at WashU in that in allows for most WashU IT staff to work from one central location.
The open house is an opportunity for WashU IT staff to celebrate this milestone and for us to thank the university community—you—for your patience and support during this transition. The 4480 Clayton building (nicknamed ‘4480’) is a short walk from the Central West End Metrolink stop. We hope you can attend!
