More than 190 staff logged in to participate in the June WashU IT/OCIO all-hands meeting. This is the second event livestreamed with Zoom which, in its pilot phase, has been a reliable webinar tool for larger audiences.
The agenda included the following topics:
- The reorganization of the enterprise applications team
- Celebrating the win of redefining the parent communication process
- An introduction of the new work plan document and process
- Planning for improved service outcomes with the Shared IT Service program, ITSM and a new ServiceNow implementation
All presentations followed a theme of showing how the WashU IT organization is changing to align with technology trends and to meet the emerging needs of users. Vice Chancellor and CIO John Gohsman opened the event with a quiz followed by his ‘parting message’ as he recently announced his resignation. Interim CIO Ed Welker closed the event with a message about next steps for the organization.
