July 19 – Dog Day of Summer Picnic

Join us for a Dog Day of Summer Picnic on Wednesday, July 19!

Wednesday, July 19 is National Hot Dog Day. What better way to celebrate than a picnic in the park with Steve’s Hot Dogs and Kona Ice!

Steve’s Hot Dogs will be bringing hot dogs (beef & veggie) along with 13 topping choices, mac & cheese, chili, and more. We’ll have soda & water. Save room for a shaved ice from Kona Ice.

There will be a special visit by some adoptable pups from Gateway Pet Guardians.

What if it’s 120 degrees outside?
Don’t worry! We’ve arranged to have a misting fan so you can stay cool.

When is it?
Wednesday, July 19 from 11:30-1:30

What should I bring?
Camping chairs, games, picnic blankets, cooling towels

What should I wear?
Executive leadership has given the OK for casual dress. Just make sure you don’t show up in your jorts if you have an important meeting that day.

How will I get there?
We have a carpool sign-up sheet, you can drive, or ride your bike. Forest Park Pavilion 2 is between Carr Ln & Concourse Dr.  Link to the park map.

What if it rains?
Pavilion 2 is covered so we’ll be there rain or shine.

This event is open to WashU IT staff & contractors. Sponsored by the Shared IT Services Staff Engagement Program. Many thanks to WashU IT Administration & the EA Fun Team for organizing & hosting this event.
